Orphan Support

Children who have lost one or both parents face a vulnerability that goes far deeper than poverty. Without a caregiver's protection, they are exposed to exploitation, malnutrition, educational deprivation, and profound emotional suffering. Lighthouse Humanitarian Aid Ghana's Orphan Support program exists to change that reality.

Since 2022, we have worked directly with orphanages and vulnerable child households across Ghana, providing a holistic package of care that addresses every dimension of a child's wellbeing. This includes nutritious daily meals, school enrolment support and supplies, access to healthcare, safe shelter, and consistent emotional support from trained caregivers and social workers.

We also provide seasonal gifts — clothing, toys, and celebrations at Eid, Christmas, and other significant occasions — because every child deserves moments of joy, not just survival.

Our approach is relational, not transactional. Our teams visit regularly, build trust with children and caregivers, and track each child's progress over time. We believe consistency is as important as generosity.
